-Blind.

words by Julia Gytri

music by Yan Li

Based on H.G. Wells' short story The Country of the Blind, -Blind. is an interactive musical about Mihai, a Romanian traveler who stumbles across a valley of blind villagers deep in Hoia-Baciu Forest (known as the Bermuda Triangle of forests). Having been born blind for generations, these villagers have no concept of sight, and Mihai finds his own senses challenged by their way of life. His growing love for the chief's daughter, Adela, further complicates matters.

Conceived at the NYU Graduate Musical Theatre Program

-Blind. is performed with a blindfolded audience

What could be better than wearing a blindfold and listening to a musical? Nothing. ...Maybe hearing your grade school bully had to shut down his auto repair shop.

But What Does It Sound Like?

Your baby nephew* seeing a giraffe for the first time and realizing he's not dreaming.
